SUBSTANCE: method comprises embedding of the modifier particles or alloying additives which are accelerated to a speed higher than 0.5 m/s into the pre-foamed expandable polystyrene raw beads. For the acceleration of particles, a gas flow is used which is supplied impulsely or continuously. Pre-foamed expandable polystyrene raw beads are placed in a box from a grid with cell sizes from 0.4 to 0.7 of the average bead size, and the box is filled by 0.5-0.9 of the volume.
EFFECT: improving the quality of castings due to the uniform distribution of modifiers and alloying additives in the model.
