FIELD: nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: at first the polymer is mixed with the catalyst and the solvent until a homogeneous solution is obtained. Carbon-chain polymers with side functional groups are used, and the catalyst is selected from the group consisting of organic or inorganic transition metal compounds. The amount of catalyst is 0.5-15.0% of the polymer weight. The resulting solution is then applied to a substrate made of materials with low heat resistance and the solvent is removed by drying. The formed polymer layer is irradiated one or more times by a powerful ion beam of nanosecond duration with a current density of 50-80 A/cm2.

EFFECT: nanofibres on substrates with low heat resistance using inexpensive materials.
