SUBSTANCE: method is disclosed in which: a) using the server of network administration identifier is assigned to each network end node network; b) using the security application, installed on each network end node, broadcasting is performed, wherein this broadcast contains the above-mentioned identifier; C) using the security application with each network end, the data is sent to the network administration server, containing the criteria referred to a network end node, and a set of resulting broadcasts identifiers of other destination nodes of the network; g) using the server network administration form, the table of records on the broadcast domains of the network is formed on the basis of received from each application security data that contains a set of identifiers of other network end nodes; d) using the network administration server on the basis of obtained data, comprising criteria for characterizing network end nodes, the list is formed containing the identifiers of active and passive agents of upgrades for each broadcast domain; e) using the network administration server, at least one update is sent to the security application of the active agent updates, wherein said update is not sent to security applications of other active update agents; g) using the security application of active update agent, the said update is sent to at least one security application of passive update agent.

EFFECT: distribution of software updates in the network, which is achieved by assigning active and passive update agents within broadcast domains, taking into account the criteria characterizing the end nodes of the network.
