FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of optical systems. Method of continuous exposure to a laser beam on a randomly moving object: the direction of the laser beams is controlled by rotating a platform with a mirror on one side, which is located in a magnetic field, electric current conductor in the form of annular coils and a rotary mechanism on the opposite side, installed in the centre of gravity of the platform, magnetic field is generated by a system of electromagnets, current of annular coils is kept constant. Current of the electromagnets deflecting the object tracking beam is set in form of a sequence of pulses, which provide scanning in azimuthal angle and elevation angle. Direction to the object is determined by scanning from the reflected signal of the tracking beam. Direction is recorded in repeated sessions; the results are used to adjust the current of the electromagnets and move the beam in the direction and at the speed of the angular movement of the object. Laser beam of exposure is switched on. By own system of deflecting electromagnets the object is oriented and irradiated with the exposure beam, with correction for mutual arrangement of laser sources, during the specified time interval.
EFFECT: continuous exposure of a laser beam on a randomly moving object.
