SUBSTANCE: in order to determine the range and the radial speed of a moving object, it is necessary to measure only the frequency of the change of the maxima and minima of the result intensity of the spatial Fourier transformation of the electromagnetic wave emitted by the object, which is adopted by the Fourier transformer. The range and radial speed of the object is calculated from the ratios containing the data on frequency and its time derivative. The object is in the range of distances corresponding to the effect criterion of Fresnel diffraction.

EFFECT: increased reliability of determining the range and radial speed of the object by reducing the number of measured parameters and reducing the dependence of the measurement result on interference connected with atmospheric phenomena and technogenic factors.
