SUBSTANCE: method includes removing a worn-out mouldboard part, manufacturing a wear-compensating profile insert, welding it from the working side of the mouldboard surface and surfacing reinforcing rolls of a wear-resistant material in the restoration area, with their exit into the zone of expected beam-like wear of the mouldboard. As a wear-resistant material, a paste containing 60…65% of powder based on iron of the type PR-180H16N8, 25…28% of titanium boride, 5…6% of cobalt, and glue BF-2 - the rest. The paste is applied intermittently in the form of rollers with the width of 4…5 mm and the thickness of 1.6…1.8 mm, dried until solidified at the temperature of 80°C for 6…8 min, and surfacing is carried out by an arc of direct polarity, using a vibrating carbon electrode, with the current strength of 60…65 A, the voltage of 32…35 V, the vibration frequency and amplitude of the carbon electrode of 6…8 Hz and 3…4 mm, respectively. The invention allows to increase at the average of 30% the hardness of the reinforcing rolls surfaced to the mouldboard area to be restored, and the wear resistance of the restored and strengthened plough housing mouldboard under the conditions of intensive abrasion wear increases by 40%.

EFFECT: increasing the durability of ploughs when used on soils with a high wear capacity.
