FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes grinding the concentrate, sulfating the ground concentrate with sulfuric acid, leaching the sulfated concentrate, separating the leaching slurry into a sulfate solution and insoluble cake and washing the cake from the sulphate solution. The concentrate is ground to the size of -0.16 mm. Sulfatization of the ground concentrate is carried out at the consumption of sulfuric acid of 0.8 ml/ g of the concentrate, at the temperature of 150°C for five hours. Leaching of the sulfated concentrate is carried out at the ratio of T:H=1:5 in the initial concentrate for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: reducing the duration of concentrate opening and increasing the lithium recovery.
