FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves concentrate grinding, ground concentrate sulfating with sulfuric acid and sulfated concentrate leaching with water. Next, the leaching slurry is separated into a sulfate solution and an insoluble cake, the cake is washed from the sulphate solution. At that, the concentrate is sulfated for 4 hours and before leaching, the sulfated concentrate is kept for 14 days at a temperature of 25°C.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption of the process due to reduced duration of sulfatization.
