SUBSTANCE: control device for adjusting the length of the pin for intramedullary osteosynthesis comprising first and second members movable relative to each other in the axial direction and an inner magnet comprising at least one magnet oriented in the axis and arranged not parallel to the axis of the intramedullary pin and a user interface, Showing the amount of axial expansion or axial compression of the pin for intramedullary osteosynthesis as a result of the rotation of the magnet. The magnet is rotatable about its own axis. A method for adjusting the length of a pin for intramedullary osteosynthesis, comprising the steps of: positioning the control device to cover the intramedullary pin and not parallelizing the external magnet of said control device with a pin for intramedullary osteosynthesis. Mentioned intramedullary pin comprises first and second members movable relative to each other in the axial direction, as well as an inner magnet. Further, rotation of said external magnet is performed to impart rotation to said inner magnet and obtaining, as a result of the relative axial movement, the first and second elements controlling the length of mentioned pin for intramedullary osteosynthesis.
