FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to an inertial impactor-extractor for installation and/or removal of intramedullary rods in osteosynthesis. Inertial impactor-extractor for installation and/or removal of intramedullary rods during osteosynthesis includes a guide rod on which two thrust platforms, an inertial hammer and a removable tip are fixed. Inertial hammer is made with possibility of movement along guide rod between thrust sites. Removable tip is made with possibility of fixation in the guide rod on the side of its working end, has a head containing a section with a flat surface - a platform on which two projections are arranged. Protrusions are arranged with a gap, the first of which is made for placement in the hole of the intramedullary rod or its plug and has a cylindrical shape. Second one is thrust and is designed to support the mating part of the rod or its plug when installing or removing the intramedullary rod during osteosynthesis. Gap between the protrusions corresponds to the distance between the proximal end of the intramedullary rod or its plug and the hole in the intramedullary rod or plug, made for insertion of the first protrusion through it with provision of a stop against the side surface of the second protrusion.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables the reliable introduction of the intramedullary nail into the medullary canal or removal therefrom while reducing the risk of perforation of the wall of the medullary canal by the end of the nail and rotational action on the nail while ensuring the compactness of the working part of the impactor-extractor.
