FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method includes introducing radiation into a sealed chamber, filled with gas, and measuring the value of gas heating due to the absorption of radiation inside the chamber by measuring the velocities of passage of acoustic pulses through the gas on the basis of which the desired amount of radiation energy is determined. Absorption of radiation is carried out by an absorbing film installed inside the chamber, and xenon is used as the gas for filling the chamber.
