SUBSTANCE: device for opening and closing the covers of the dump doors of a hopper car comprises longitudinal drive shafts mounted in the rotation supports (4), with manual drives in the form of worm gearboxes connected by output shafts through connecting couplings. The longitudinal drive shaft is cinematically connected via rotary levers (7) and drive links (8) with the covers (1) of the dump doors.
EFFECT: making grooves in the connecting couplings allows the longitudinal drive shafts to make a quick turn in the rotation supports, opening the dump doors promptly while unloading the hopper car.
