SUBSTANCE: crimping tool for turned contacts on electrical wires, comprising a crimping die (104) having at least three crimping punches (105), at least one main metal plate (106) and at least one lever (119) for reducing the opening of the crimping die (104) by means of a toggle locking mechanism, as well as a force and displacement adjusting device adapted to receive the necessary residual stroke of the crimping die (104) by elastic deformation, at a stage when the crimping die (104) during crimp of the turned contact has already reached the stop, but some movement is still required to allow the stopper (124) to release the opening of the crimping die (104), the force and displacement adjusting device is made in the form of a cascade elastic element, one part of which is an element of the main plates (106), and the other part (131) is an element of the lever (119).
EFFECT: ensuring crimping of the turned contacts on wires in the widest possible range of diametres.
