FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in producing cartridge cases in one sequential molding machine. Performing of circular section elongated bar blank cold forging by means of tool, providing diameter increase and formation of recesses on each end of blank with formation of intermediate partition between said recesses. Then, performing blank drawing, containing one of recesses to form thin wall and cavity for charge and bullet placement, after that, at said machine station performing cutting of elongated thin wall free end to produce even edge. Then, workpiece part containing other recess upsetting is performed in workpiece embracing segmented matrix to obtain final shape of cartridge case head with slot for extractor.
EFFECT: enabling accuracy of dimensions and expanded performances.
