FIELD: processing procedures.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metal forming. In particular, the invention refers to manufacture of a steel vessel with a folded open end. There is produced a steel cup-like work piece which is deep drawn into a drawn work piece of the vessel. Further, a case of the drawn work piece of the vessel is not-deep drawn. A free end of the drawn work piece of the vessel is cut off with compression. Successively, the open end of the drawn work piece of the vessel is folded forming a work piece of a curl and the work piece of the curl is folded into a drawn curl. There is used the device consisting of a unit for deep drawing the steel cup-like work piece into the drawn work piece of the vessel, of a unit for not-deep draw of the case of he drawn work piece of the vessel, of a cut off unit for cutting the free end of the drawn work piece of the vessel by compression, and of a unit for folding the open end of drawn work piece of the vessel. Also, the folding unit is equipped with a sub-unit forming the work piece of the curl and with a sub-unit for forming the drawn curl.

EFFECT: raised efficiency and upgraded quality of vessels.
