SUBSTANCE: decoding method comprises: obtaining a possible spatial motion vector predictor of the current prediction unit by using the motion vector of an available spatial prediction unit spatially related to the current prediction unit; obtaining a possible temporal motion vector predictor of the current prediction unit by using the motion vector of an available time prediction unit time-related to the current prediction unit; adding, when the number of possible spatial motion vector predictor and the possible temporal motion vector predictor is less than the predetermined number n, the zero vector to the possible motion vector predictor so that the total number of the possible motion vector predictor is equal to the aforementioned predetermined number n; obtaining information to specify one vector predictor; and obtaining a motion vector predictor of the current prediction unit.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of decoding the motion information of the current prediction unit.
