SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video encoding and decoding. Technical result is achieved by means of predicting the jointly located image block relative to the current image block by means of using the first reference list of the jointly located image block and predicting the jointly located image block by means of using the second reference list of the jointly located image block, selecting the motion vector, which corresponds to the reference list of the current image block from the motion vector of the jointly located image block.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing prediction of the jointly arranged image block for determining the reference image.
