FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a distributed radiation source comprising a plurality of source points; a light source collimator disposed on the beam end-leading end of the distributed radiation source and configured to reduce the rays generated by the distributed radiation source along the fan-shaped radial lines to form an inverse fan-shaped beam; a scattering collimator adapted to allow passage only of rays scattered at one or more determined scattering angles which are formed by rays from a collimator of the light source interacting with the objects to be surveyed; at least, one detector located behind the scattering collimator, each detector comprising a plurality of detection units that have an energy resolution and are arranged substantially in a cylindrical surface to receive scattered rays passing through the scattering collimator; and a processing device configured to calculate information of the energy spectrum of the scattered rays from the surveyed objects based on the signal output from the detectors. The device described above measures the energy distribution of scattered X-rays at a fixed angle by using detectors having energy resolution to obtain a constant crystal lattice of materials in order to recognize material categories.

EFFECT: providing a high resolution when the three-dimensional positioning of the device relative to the object being surveyed is possible.
