FIELD: X-ray topography, determination of structure of complex inhomogeneous object and identification of substances of which it is made. SUBSTANCE: gear has source of penetrating radiation, system recording radiation absorbed by examined object, system recording radiation scattered by object under small angles and aid for movement of object. Distribution of absorption factors is first determined in examined object exposed to X- rays under different angles, then curve of small-angle radiation scattering is plotted for each substance filling individual element of object. Three-dimensional image of internal structure of object with identification of its components is constructed on basis of two distributions: absorption coefficients and curves of object small-angle scattering. EFFECT: generation of information on distribution of substances over volume of examined object, cheaper manufacture of gear that displays greater aperture ratio. 2 cl, 4 dwg
