FIELD: devices for mammography based on detection of small-angle coherent scattering at exposure of an object to penetrating radiation. SUBSTANCE: the device has a source of penetrating radiation with a slotted collimator, a holder of the examined object and a position-sensing detector with a spatial filter releasing a small- angle scattering and detecting the primary radiation penetrated through the object. The device modifications provide for relative displacement of the object and the radiation-detection system, as well as for exposure of the object to radiation at different angles and by several radiation sources at a time. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity and detection of coherent scattered radiation at ultrasmall angles, which reduces the radiation dose at examination of the object. 18 cl, 8 dwg
