FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: angiography is used to determine the shape and size of the cerebral aneurysm. Blood velocity in the aneurysm model is measured with the stent and without it. The parameters of local hemodynamics are determined: three-dimensional distribution of blood velocity, pressure in the aneurysm area and value of near-wall shear stress. Then, using computer modeling, the changes in these indicators of local hemodynamics in the selected cerebral artery using different stent models are determined on the mathematical model of the local hemodynamics of the cerebral artery. A method for selection of a stent model for stenting of cerebral arteries with an aneurysm, which involves collection of data on the artery: its proximal and distal diameters, type of artery, calculation of the stent size based on the data on the selected artery, and stent model selection based on stent size and availability.
EFFECT: comparative analysis is use to select a stent model that allows to minimize the average blood velocity inside the aneurysm cavity and restore blood flow through the cerebral artery.
