SUBSTANCE: article includes a liquid-permeable topsheet with a central layer located adjacent to the oppositely positioned side layers. The side layers may include a separating region that at least partially separates the carrier material of the bleaching means treated with the bleaching agent from the absorbent core. At least one of the side layers may also include at least one region that is a fluid barrier that can prevent or slow the spread of fluids from the article centre to the edges. The combination of the separating region and the region acting as a fluid barrier can allow the bleaching means to substantially discolour the leaky fluid during interaction that can extend to the side edges of the article.
EFFECT: prevents menstrual flow fluid spreading towards the article edges, can bleach stains to make them less visible.
