INTEGRATED OCT-REFRACTOMETER SYSTEM FOR OCULAR BIOMETRY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B3/103

Abstract RU 2654274 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. OCT refractometer system is integrated into a slit lamp or microscope and comprises: an eye visualization system configured to provide a video image of the displayed area of the eye; Optical Coherence Tomographic (OCT) imaging system, configured to generate an OCT image of the imaged region; refractometer, configured to generate a refractive mapping of the imaged region; and an analyzer containing memory and a processor. In this case, the analyzer is configured to: receive OCT image data from OCT imaging system; admission of data refractive index maps from the refractometer; registration of OCT images and refractive index map data; combining OCT images and refractive index map data; and executing the ray tracing software to determine the refractive characteristics of the eye based on the combined OCT image data and the refractive index map data. In this case, the refractometer and the OCT image building system are integrated with the eye visualization system.

EFFECT: application of this invention will allow to perform an integrated imaging and to provide biometric information relevant to a particular patient in a period of time sufficient for the step of performing and setting up the cataract removal operation, selecting and introducing the IOL.
