FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and more specifically to ophthalmology, and can be used for determining the angle of rotation of a toric intraocular lens in a capsular sac. Disclosed is a method involving determining the rotation angle of a toric intraocular lens by photographic fixation using computer programs. Algorithm of examining patients with implanted toric intraocular lenses is followed by a step-by-step study of the axial position of the toric intraocular lens after certain lens interval replacement: on the following postoperative day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, consisting in certain successive combination of the obtained first and subsequent photographs in a given sequence, allowing visual and quantitative assessment of lens rotation angle change through certain temporary postoperative intervals.
EFFECT: invention provides a visual and accurate quantitative determination of the angle of inclination of the astigmatic axis of TIOL from the actual axis of corneal astigmatism in dynamics by evaluating the rotational capacity of the lens through certain time intervals when the obtained photographs are aligned.
