FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: at the first stage, copper melt is prepared by melting copper waste. At the second stage the melt is subjected to refining and reduction of copper, for this purpose said melt is passed into a transfer chamber through perforated element made of graphite with density 1.56-2.2 g/cm3 at a temperature of 1140-1175°C. Then continuous cast billet is formed and subjected to rolling, heating from 650-800°C by passing through an induction heater at linear speed of 1.5-2.5 m/s and abrupt cooling to 50-55°C. Recrystallising metal when rolling and then passing through the induction heater which leads to formation of homogeneous fine-crystal structure and high physical-mechanical characteristics of the finished product.
EFFECT: production of electrical engineering articles from 100% stack copper scrap.
