FIELD: wire production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of contact shaped wires from copper alloys. Pre-melting and refining of the copper charge material is carried out in an induction-type crucible melting installation to obtain a melt with a copper content of at least 99.91 wt.%. The melt is alloyed in a crucible melting plant with tin or magnesium under a layer of coal or graphite. The billet is drawn from the melt in a continuous vertical casting installation and the billet is wound onto a receiving device. Extrusion of the resulting continuously cast billet is carried out at a temperature of 400-650°C on a Conform installation to produce a rod with a fine-grained structure with a diameter not exceeding the diameter of the continuously cast billet. The rod is drawn on a drawing machine with a diameter of traction wheels of at least 800 mm into a contact shaped wire, ensuring the degree of reduction of the rod after each die from 8 to 22% and the total degree of reduction from 48 to 65%.
EFFECT: electrical and mechanical parameters of the contact wire are improved and the service life of the lining of a continuous vertical casting installation is increased.
