FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: in the declared method, three control values of hash codes are calculated from electronic document file, corresponding to different levels of electronic document presentation, and defined as hash codes of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd level. The value of level 1 hash code is calculated from the file of electronic document presented in the original format. The level 2 hash code is computed from a file containing text represented in unified text encoding and with space characters removed. The level 3 hash code is computed from the electronic document file containing the critical vocabulary values represented in the unified text encoding. When checking the integrity of electronic document, the second procedure is performed to calculate the values of hash codes of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd level, and compare them with the corresponding control values. Based on the obtained result, a conclusion is made about the integrity of electronic document at each level of its presentation.

EFFECT: providing multi-level control of electronic documents integrity.
