The second option in the method of two-stage scanning of space, which includes the range measurement of the detectable target, the space is scanned by a composite signal consisting of a time-limited broadband signal and its parts, spread out over a period of time, the Doppler speed is defined, all the parts of the composite signal are coherently summarized at long range, and are checked for a match at short ranges.

EFFECT: detection of the target, namely the detection of the fact of the presence of the target in the examined direction and the determination of its location - angular coordinates and range; in addition, for radar stations with short range - maintaining a high rate of view and the ability to allocate high-speed targets.
