FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to radar ranging and can be used to shorten the time of direction survey. Technical result of the inventions is shorter time spent on detecting mobile targets and measuring their coordinates under passive jamming conditions. Device for implementing the method comprises an antenna, a receive-transmit switch, transmitter, receiver, target detection logger, signal former, synchroniser, moving target selection device, two optimal filters, a multiple-tap delay line with logic "AND" devices in each branch, ambiguity interval calculator, wherein the antenna output is connected to the first input of a receive-transmit switch whose output is connected to the input of the receiver, the output of the receiver is connected to the input of the moving target selection device, the first output of the moving target selection device is connected to the input of the first optimal filter, and its second output is connected to the input of the second optimal filter, the output of the first optimal filter is connected to the input of the ambiguity interval calculator and to the input of the multiple-tap delay line, the output of the ambiguity interval calculator is connected to the input of the synchroniser, the first output of which is connected to the input of the signal former, and the second one with the second input of the multiple-tap delay line, the output of the signal former is connected to the input of the transmitter, the output of the transmitter is connected to the second input of the transmit-receive switch, the output of the second optimal filter is connected to the second inputs of the logic "AND" devices, the first inputs of which are connected to the corresponding branches of the multiple-tap delay line, the outputs of the logic "AND" devices are connected to the corresponding inputs of the target detection logger.
EFFECT: technical result is achieved by that in the two-stage method of measuring the coordinates of a target, in the first stage, the target is resolved in terms of speed, and at the second stage, the distance to said target is determined, wherein signal parameters and (or) the target detection mode at the second stage are formed based on the information on ambiguity intervals of the target coordinates obtained at the first stage.
