SUBSTANCE: system comprises: one or more processors; a memory unit connected to one or more processors with the possibility to communicate; and a process authentication component stored in the memory unit and containing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, instruct one or more processors: to receive an executable file which includes a digital signature; select a public decryption key corresponding to the private encryption key used to generate the digital signature; authenticate the executable file by verifying the digital signature using a public decryption key; create a process for executing an authenticated executable file and assign this process a dimension and a level based on the public decryption key. A level represents one of many ranked permission levels for accessing system resources, and the dimension represents one of many ranked dimensions which are used to specify the association of different sets of access permission levels.
