FIELD: personal demand items.
SUBSTANCE: absorbent article is a personal care product that has a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, a front portion, a rear portion and a crotch portion located between the rear portion and the front portion. This article includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core disposed between the top sheet and the bottom sheet and a bulge disposed generally in the crotch region between the topsheet and the backsheet and extending in the longitudinal direction of the article. The bulge has a substantially rectangular shape in which the first and second longitudinal side edges extend in the longitudinal direction of the article, the front transverse lateral edge extends transversely to the front portion of the article, the rear lateral edge extends transversely to the rear portion of the article. The aforementioned front lateral edge of the said bulge includes a protrusion, and the aforementioned rear lateral edge of the said bulge includes a recess.
