FIELD: tool engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the method the starting point is determined or information about the starting point of the route is entered using a mobile device, information about the end point of the route is also entered and the route is plotted on the navigation electronic map, navigation information messages about the coordinates are received from the satellites at the signal receiving and processing module, information about user's travel along the route is processed and in case of the need to change the movement direction in accordance with the plotted route map or if the user deviates from the specified route and in case of the need to adjust its movement direction, a command is sent to the control unit by vibrotactile radiators, according to which a control signal is generated at the vibrotactile radiator, which vibration signals the user to change the movement direction to the direction corresponding to the vibrotactile radiator code. A user orientation unit is a carrier of vibrotactile radiators, which accommodates a data transmit/receive module using wireless communication technologies, vibrotactile radiators which specify the movement direction code, a vibrotactile radiator control unit based on processing of information incoming from the data transmit/receive module, as well as a power source and a socket for power source charging. The application of the vibrotactile effect provides navigation without sound notifications and without visual map tracking of movement correctness along the chosen route on the display. As a result, the proposed method and the device implementing it can be used by visually disabled individuals.
