FIELD: indirect method of test of physical properties and composition of substances. SUBSTANCE: SHF method of measurement of moisture content consists in action on examined object by electromagnetic field of sensitive element in the form of open waveguide resonator, in measurement of reflection factor and in determination of dependence between moisture constant and reflection factor. Measurement is carried out on fixed frequencies. Frequency should match resonance frequency, coupling is set critical for resonator loaded on object with minimal or maximal values of moisture constant. Sensitive element of resonator for implementation of method can also be made irregular by decrease of dimension of narrow wall of rectangular waveguide along direction of propagation or of its broad wall. EFFECT: method can be used in SHF humidity meters of discrete and continuous action under conditions of one-side access to object. 4 cl, 7 dwg
