FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method includes application of the operating voltage on the wire tool-electrode and a workpiece, pumping of service fluid through the interelectrode gap and application of the tool-electrode relative to the workpiece with established speed with simultaneous registration of efficient high-frequency vibration amplitude in the treatment area. In the course of processing, when registering the change in the effective amplitude of high-frequency vibrations, the feed rate of the tool-electrode is corrected with its decrease up to the effective amplitude of the high-frequency vibrations decreases and the subsequent increase up to the completion of increase of the effective amplitude of the high-frequency vibrations.
EFFECT: increase the productivity of the process of electrical discharge machining.
