FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises electrical discharge machining of parts, in which intermittent supply of working voltage pulses is performed, matched with application of ultrasonic oscillations onto the processing working zone. Herewith the voltage pulses are supplied in a package with pauses between the pulse packages supply, and before the working voltage pulses package supply the voltage pulse of higher energy from 0.1 to 1 J is supplied, then, application of ultrasonic oscillations is performed, then the application of ultrasonic oscillations is stopped and the pulses package of working voltage with the power from 0.01 to 0.03 J is supplied.

EFFECT: invention can be used for spark-erosion piercing of small-diameter holes of a wide range of parts, exempli gratia gas turbine engine blades.
