FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: mechanical vibrations in the device for workpiece holding when processing it with a wire electrode-tool are controlled. And effective low-frequency and high-frequency values are separated from the vibration signal. The signal of the current fed to the electrode-tool is also controlled. The effective frequency-range values are separated from the current signal. The values coincide with high-frequency and low-frequency ranges of vibrations in the elastic machine system. The low-frequency and high-frequency parameters are calculated as the ratio of the effective vibration values of the elastic machine system and the current, respectively. The ratio of the low-frequency parameter to the high-frequency parameter with an experimentally established threshold value is compared. And if the actual value is above the ratio of the above-mentioned parameters of the established threshold value, the processing modes are adjusted by reducing the ratio of the low-frequency parameter to the high-frequency parameter.
EFFECT: increase of reliability of the electric discharge machining process.
