FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: imaging system visually guiding the invasive device introduction comprises an ultrasonic probe with a matrix transducer for obtaining of an image of a tissue region containing the target tissue and generation of receivable signals, an ultrasonic system for processing of signals received by the ultrasonic probe to create a set of spatially identified pixels having the pixel values proportional to the received signals, an image processor responsive to the pixel values that creates an ultrasound image, an ultrasound imaging display, a tissue density analyser responsive to pixel values that creates an estimate of tissue density based on the spatially identified pixels corresponding to the invasive device path, the display is provided with an additional possibility to display an estimate of tissue density by numbers or in the form of a curve of relative tissue density along the path of invasive device introduction.
EFFECT: application of the invention allows to reduce patient trauma due to formation of the most favourable trajectory of needle insertion.
