FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to means of orientation and tracking of position of instrument relative to plane of ultrasonic image. Instrument navigation system comprises an ultrasonic probe including a transducer array configured to create an acoustic image plane for scanning an anatomical region, and further comprising one or more ultrasonic transducers relative to transducers array, ultrasonic scanner, an intervention instrument configured to navigate in the anatomical region relative to the plane of the acoustic image and comprising one or more ultrasonic transducers, wherein one or more ultrasonic probe ultrasonic transducers and one or more ultrasonic transducer of the interventional instrument are configured to generate at least one ultrasonic tracking signal indicating the distance of the intervention tool relative to the plane of the acoustic image, when interventional tool navigation is performed in anatomical area, tool tracking tool, functionally connected to one or more ultrasonic probe ultrasound transducer and one or more ultrasonic transducer of an intervention tool to track distance of intervention tool relative to plane of acoustic image in response to creation of at least one ultrasonic tracking signal, and an image navigator for displaying a graphic icon on an ultrasonic image of the anatomical region created by the ultrasonic scanner, to illustrate tracking by the tool tracking tool the distance of the intervention tool relative to the plane of the acoustic image, wherein the image navigator is configured to monotonically change the icon in response to tracking by the tool tracking tool the distance of the intervention tool relative to the plane of the acoustic image. In the second embodiment of the tool navigation system, one or more ultrasonic probe ultrasound transducer and one or more ultrasonic transducer of an intervention tool are configured to generate at least one ultrasonic tracking signal indicating the distance of the intervention tool relative to the plane of the acoustic image, when navigating the intervention instrument and at least one ultrasonic transducer in the anatomical region. In the third embodiment of the system, the image navigator is configured to change at least one of the size, shape and colour of the icon in response to tracking by tool tracking tool of distance of intervention tool relative to plane of acoustic image.
EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to facilitate instrument tracking and visualization.
