SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the hopper gate valve containing powder material or material with small grain size. The gate valve comprises a rigid frame forming an outlet for delivery of material, and an outlet gate actuated by respective moving elements. Said gate is characterized in that it comprises a device for adjusting the height of a sealing element. Said height adjusting device is suitable for compensating for the loss of sealing effect between the lower surface of the sealing element and the upper surface of the gate. The loss of sealing effect arises due to wear caused by the relative friction between the lower surface and the upper surface.
EFFECT: improved reliability.
