SUBSTANCE: systems for homogenizing and/or lysing the sample contain a disposable cassette or casing that is adapted to be connected to and disconnected from the analyser. The disposable cassette comprises a first container; a second container; one or more walls forming a closed chamber containing an inlet and a plurality of fluid connections; a first network for fluid; a second network for fluid; a rotational element located in a closed chamber; a drive unit. At least one of said one or more walls of the closed chamber comprises a thermally controlled surface. The first network for fluid is connected with at least one of the plurality of fluid connections and is configured with the possibility of introducing at least a sample into the camera from the first container. The second network for fluid is connected to at least one of the plurality of fluid connections and is configured with the possibility of extracting at least a sample from the chamber into the second container. The drive unit is connected to the rotational element of the disposable cassette and is rotatable about the axis extending along the length of the rotational member. Methods for lysing or homogenizing the sample are carried out as follows. At least a sample is introduced into the closed chamber through a fluid connection connected to the network for fluid that is further connected to one or more other chambers. Rotational element is rotated, located in a closed chamber, along the axis running along the length of rotational element. Provoking a plurality of balls, arranged in the closed chamber, by moving the rotational element, and lyzing or homogenizing the sample in closed chamber by moving the rotational element and a plurality of balls.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the process of homogenization and lysis of biological sample under study.
