SUBSTANCE: method includes the following steps: in the side surface of the optical gain fibre preform and the optical pumping fibre preform, respectively, the base plane is set, the base plane of the fibre preform for optical amplification is processed so that protrusions are formed on it and there are precisely machined planes on both sides of each projection; and the base plane of the fibre preform for optical pumping is processed in such a way that grooves are formed thereon that coincide with the above-mentioned projections. Further, projections of the fibre preform for optical amplification are inserted into the recesses of the fibre preform for optical pumping, a single biconical splitter of this combination is fixed, resulting in a new preform of the double laser fibre. The double laser fibre is pulled from the said combined double laser fibre preform.
EFFECT: possibility of multipoint injection of pumping radiation along the entire length of the double laser fibre.
