SUBSTANCE: technologies are described for allocating resources for D2D data transmission. In one embodiment, for example, the user equipment may comprise one or more radio frequency (RF) transceivers, one or more RF antennas and logic, at least, a portion of which is embodied in hardware, the logic being adapted to receive a message with control information D2D (D2DCI) containing information on the D2D transmission scheme (DTP), to identify the D2D transmission resource set based on the DTP information, and to transmit one or more messages with the D2D data using the D2D transmission resource set.

EFFECT: ability to transmit information about the allocation of D2D resources in a compact, non-message-specific format.
