FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method of communication carried out by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes transmitting, from a WTRU module to an extended B (eNB) of a semi-contiguous scheduling resources (SPS) request, wherein the SPS resource request includes periodicity of the requested SPS resources and a time offset indicating the time during which the WTRU expects to have a dedicated SPS resource; reception by the WTRU module of the SPS configuration from the eNB in response to the transmitted SPS resource request and transmission by the WTRU module of data over the direct connection channel in accordance with the obtained configuration of the SPS and the priority of the ProSe Per-Packet (PPPP).
EFFECT: efficient multiplexing of various types of services, such as voice and video, to create efficient and high-efficiency communication systems for providing public safety using LTE technology.
