SUBSTANCE: extraction method for extracting a flavour-imparting component from a tobacco raw material includes stage A of heating the tobacco raw material subjected to alkaline processing; and stage B of bringing the component to be extracted, released into the gaseous phase at the stage A, in contact with a receiving solvent at normal temperature for any length of time, from the moment of satisfying the first condition till the moment of satisfying the second condition, in which the total amount of saccharides in the tobacco raw material is 9.0 wt % or less in the case when the total weight of the tobacco raw material in the dry condition is 100 wt %, in the case when the stable zone, in which pH fluctuations of the extract are within a predefined interval, is on the time axis from the start of stage A, after the pH of the extract containing the receiving solvent and the component to be extracted is reduced by 0.2 or more from the maximum value, the first condition is a condition, when the time elapsed from the beginning of stage A reaches the initial time of the stable zone, and the second condition is a condition, in which the residual nicotine component amount being an index of the flavour-imparting component contained in the tobacco raw material is reduced to achieve 0.3 wt % in the case when the tobacco raw material weight in the dry condition is 100 wt %.
EFFECT: creating an improved method not requiring large investments and with low operating costs.
