FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: silencer comprises a cylindrical perforated body with a groove, in which a sound-absorbing element is placed, and a casing enclosing the sound-absorbing element with a gap forming an expansion chamber, the casing is provided with a longitudinal slit for discharging air and mounted for turning about the body axis. The sound-absorbing element is made of a sound-reflecting material, a complex profile consisting of uniformly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, and the cross-section of the sound-absorbing element is in the form of symmetrically arranged perforated walls, between which there is a sound-absorbing element arranged in the form of three layers: a central layer of a sound-reflecting material, a complex profile consisting of uniformly distributed hollow tetrahedrons for reflecting sound waves incident in all directions, and sound-absorbing layers of different density materials and symmetrically adjacent thereto, the sound-absorbing material is either a sound-absorbing sheet material or a porous sound-absorbing ceramic material.
EFFECT: improved noise silencing efficiency with simultaneous setting of gas flow discharge direction and simplified design of the silencer.
