FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: silencer contains an inlet pipe and a rigid body of porous material rigidly connected thereto, made in the form of truncated cone shell, the larger base of which is rigidly connected to the end of the inlet pipe, and the smaller one is made in the form of solid porous disc. The sound-absorbing shell of the body truncated cone is two-layered. The layer adjacent to one of the walls is sound-absorbing, and the layer adjacent to the other perforated wall is made of sound reflecting material consisting of complex profile composed of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons.
EFFECT: noise suppression efficiency improvement.
