SUBSTANCE: to establish the direct causes of the terminal outcome for ethanol poisoning at the background of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) the complex of pathomorphological, forensic chemical and histochemical equivalents and their components is estimated in points. The points obtained are summarized, and for a total of 4-6 points, a brain type of dying is determined with the development of the cardiovascular and respiratory centres paralysis; for a total of 7-9 points, a hepatic type that causes acute liver failure, cerebral edema; for a total of 10-12 points a cardiac type in which the death is caused by the progression of cirrhotic cardiomyopathy (CCM) with an increase in heart failure of the left ventricular type; for a total of at least 13 points, a cardiac type based on alcoholic cardiomyopathy (ACMP), which leads to sudden cardiac death or acute circulatory insufficiency.

EFFECT: method increases the accuracy of determination of the true cause of death and the reliability of information reflected in statistical documents.
