FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for growing of Thanasimus genus entomophages provides grinding of coniferous trees components, including bark with phloem and sawdust previously dried to air dry, and mixing them in equal shares. The resulting mixture is sterilized in a "standard" autoclave within 15…20 min, then irradiated by a bactericidal OPN-150 lamp, moistened with distilled water up to 50-70%, Thanasimus SP. (ant beetle) entomophage larvae is introduced and grown. During the entire period of growing, for 50…140 days they are contained them in a MLR-352 climatic chamber with constant temperature of +25°C, humidity of 70% and light day regime of 15 hours until adult insects are obtained, and the larvae are fed as the feed is consumed.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the yield of adult specimens of entomophages of the Thanasimus genus.
