FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: workpiece model is made and the predicted value of the removable allowance at each reference point is determined. It is compared with the actual value, and the problem areas are selected on the surface of the part. The allowance and modes of treatment are determined with an abrasive tool. The removal of the allowance on the problem areas is controlled by modifying the feed rate of parts depending on the size of the cut allowance, and additionally by changing the speed of the abrasive tool and the contact pressure on the workpiece surface depending on the wear of the abrasive tool and fluctuations in mechanical properties of the material.
EFFECT: as a result, the quality and precision of the parts processing increases.
