FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method to control the supply of refrigerant to evaporator (2) of vapour compression system (1), at that the steam compression system (1) contains at least one evaporator (2) at least one compressor, at least one condenser and at least one thermostatic valve (3) arranged in the cooling agent circuit. The temperature of Tair air flowing through the evaporator (2) is obtained. The control of opening degree of the thermostatic valve is based according to obtained temperature Tair to reach reference temperature Tair, ref of the air flowing through the evaporator (2). A disturbance signal is provided and the degree of temperature control valve (3) opening is adjusted to controlled degree of opening when the disturbance signal is applied thereto. The degree of opening of the temperature control valve (3) is about an average value, which is a controlled degree of opening caused by obtained temperature of Tair. A temperature signal S2 representing the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the evaporator (2) is monitored. The temperature signal S2 is analyzed and the degree of opening of the thermostatic valve is reduced (3) when said analysis shows that the dry zone of the evaporator (2) approaches the minimum length.
EFFECT: providing a predetermined target temperature in cooled or heated volume and preventing the compressor from reaching the compressor with liquid refrigeration agent.
